          Schneider Electric South Africa entered the market with an impressive pedigree built on high quality, excellent service and extensive, nationwide support.

          If one goes back some 50 years into the South African industrial history, it becomes quite evident that no mentionable industry existed within our borders and as a result, little if any competitive action was required.
          However, with the establishment over time of more and more manufacturing and process plants within South and Southern Africa, this scenario has changed dramatically.

          With more and more industry coming into South and Southern Africa, we now find ourselves in a position where, in order to establish and maintain our industrial strength, we have to compete within and across our national borders.

          Having said the above, the question is: Can we compete and therefore survive as an industrial nation? The answer is: "We cannot maintain a competitive environment and we can therefore not survive as an industrial nation if we do not only work harder, but much smarter". In other words, we can only survive if we maximise and optimise all the resources that are available to us.

          One of the major tools that enables us to work not harder, but certainly smarter, is Training. Training is a critical factor in the continued success of Schneider Electric South Africa. On-going training programs enable us to effectively understand, develop and maintain our modern manufacturing facilities and process plants within and above competitive levels. The company maintains a comprehensive range of courses offered to customers as an added value service.

          It is for the above and other reasons that we in South and Southern Africa have to realise and understand the power of training.
